Check the Areas of Volunteer Interest:
Coming in Winter 2014

Lilburn Community Partnership creates opportunities for residents and business owners to do their part to make Lilburn vibrant and inviting.

In January, 2014 we will offer our first Lilburn Ambassador series.  The program will consist of three sessions that focus on informing participants of Lilburn historical and cultural sites, seasonal events, city and county governmental services, and opportunities for community involvement.  Lilburn Ambassador for Business Owners will focus on information that will be of interest to visitors who frequent our businesses.

Additionally, business owners will get an opportunity to meet city officials and get information on how the city and county are working to help create a pro-business climate in our area.  Lilburn Ambassador for Residents will focus on information that is of interest to neighborhood leaders and newcomers.  Participants will have an opportunity to meet their public officials and safety personnel and discuss best practices regarding safety and property maintenance.  Facilitators will also give residents an introduction to organizations that are seeking volunteers to help make our community safe, vibrant and welcoming.

Coming in Summer 2014

The Lilburn Ambassador series will offer Lilburn Youth Leadership Academy.  This will be a three day session offered during the summer for students in 8th through 12th grades.  Focus will be on local government, history of the area, public administration careers, leadership training and community volunteer opportunities.  Participants will get an opportunity to meet public and elected officials, learn about public sector jobs and the skills required.
